About this list

This list: 32 reports, in the agency's order. NASA EONET · open reports · no age cutoff. Geometry dates are observations listed by EONET, not the start date of an eruption. An open report does not establish recent activity. Observations listed by NASA EONET may be years old.

Which reports are included?

Open volcanic-activity records returned by NASA EONET, with no age cutoff. First and latest observations listed by EONET can be years old; an open record is not evidence of recent activity.

How often does the information change?

This site refreshes the source feeds about every 10 minutes while in use. Agency observations and revisions follow the publisher's own schedule. Each list shows when this site last read its feed, and says when a feed has stalled; a recent read does not make an old report new.

How should I interpret these reports?

An open EONET record does not establish current eruption, unrest or danger. No current alert level is supplied here. Aviation colour codes and exclusion zones are set by the responsible observatory.

Does an absent report mean the danger is over?

No. Coverage is limited to the linked agencies and their feed windows. A missing, delayed or archived record cannot establish that a place is safe. Follow warnings from the responsible local authorities.
