All open wildfire records returned by NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker (EONET) for its 14-day feed window. Containment, when available, comes from NIFC WFIGS for US fires only. The linked globe also shows NASA FIRMS satellite heat detections from the past day; those detections are separate from this report list. ## How often does the information change? This site refreshes the source feeds about every 10 minutes while in use. Agency observations and revisions follow the publisher's own schedule. Each list shows when this site last read its feed, and says when a feed has stalled; a recent read does not make an old report new. ## How should I interpret these reports? A satellite detection is a hot pixel, not a confirmed fire: gas flares, crop burning and industrial heat show up too. EONET's list is curated, so a fire can be real and absent. Outside the US no containment figure exists here. ## Does an absent report mean the danger is over? No. Coverage is limited to the linked agencies and their feed windows. A missing, delayed or archived record cannot establish that a place is safe. Follow warnings from the responsible local authorities.
